A Turkish Trek – The Music

We saw some live Turkish folk music while we were there on 5 different nights. Below is a 1 minute video of the scene in a meyhane – a Turkish establishment enjoyed at night with meze, raki, Efes, and music.

Sitting at the only restaurant in Wall Bay off of Fethiye Bay, this bazuki player sat down at our table and gave us a personal concert. I believe it is Farsi music based on online analysis. The quarter steps are unfamiliar to our ears and can sound somewhat harsh.
